You'll find there's a new logo redesign on the front with the grille, while there are also shape updates to give it its bold stance on the exterior. There's also many standard features like an 8.4-inch display which has the latest generation of Uconnect® and comes with compatibility with Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ along with five standard USB ports, and a 360-degree view camera to see all around you when backing in and out of tight spaces.

You're still going to be able to get the same power that you have always had on the RAM 1500, but it's certainly more efficient now when getting the job done. That's because the RAM 1500 has dropped 225 pounds off the frame, by adding high-strength steel in the cabin and aluminum in the truck bed. This has helped it become lighter, nimble, and still get the job done with its 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine, along with a HEMI® V8 that has 395 horsepower. You'll have standout towing and payload numbers, and know that no job is too much for the RAM 1500.

You'll also find the innovative new eTorque technology on select RAM 1500 models, which replaces the normal starter and alternator and gives it a 48-volt motor on the accessory drive to start the engine and give you extra wheel power for torque when you need it, acting as a hybrid system for more efficient towing and hauling.

Introducing the RAM 1500 Trim Levels

With beefy engine choices, a nicely equipped cabin, and an exceptional tow rating, the RAM 1500 is one of the top full-size pickup trucks currently available. It is split into six trim levels to accommodate a wide range of customer tastes.

Available Trims

Tradesman: As the base-level trim, the Tradesman provides two rows of seats and is only available as a four-door Crew Cab model. Powered by a 305-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 engine, it counts a rearview camera, Bluetooth, push-button engine start, and the Uconnect infotainment system with a five-inch touchscreen among its standard features.

Big Horn: The Big Horn has a few upgrades, such as fog lights, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a rear seatback that can be folded down to expand cargo space into the cabin. In addition, the Big Horn is also available as a Quad Cab, which has four doors but with more passenger space and less cargo space.

Laramie: The Quad Cab or Crew Cab Laramie marks a significant elevation for the RAM 1500. Upgrades include leather seat trim, front-seat 12-way power adjustability with heating and cooling, dual-zone automatic climate control, steering-wheel heating, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, a trial subscription to SiriusXM Radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, and a ten-speaker Alpine premium sound system. In addition, the 3.6-liter V6 is replaced by a 395-horsepower 5.7-liter V8 engine.

Rebel: This trim level emphasizes off-roading ability, thanks to the standard locking differential, factory lift, a performance-tuned suspension system, and tow hooks. It gets its power from a 3.6-liter V6 engine.

Laramie Longhorn: The Laramie Longhorn, which is only available as a Crew Cab and is powered by the 5.7-liter V8, is a more advanced version of the Laramie. This is evidenced by its premium leather upholstery, front-seat heating, HD Radio, 8.4-inch touchscreen navigation, and front and rear parking sensors.

Limited: The top-level Limited trim uses the Crew Cab body style and uses the 5.7-liter V8. Exclusive to this model are features such as a 12-inch touchscreen, wireless device charging, and blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert as driver-assistance technologies.
