We know that from Fairfield to Norwalk, and beyond, there's a great need for quality new trucks. That's why we're so proud of our selection of new RAM 2500 pickups! For customers who have the toughest of towing and hauling tasks, nothing compares to this capable, durable new RAM truck! Stack it up to the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, too, and you'll see - there's nothing like a RAM 2500! See what we mean below, as we compare these two trucks head to head.

The price of a new pickup is often the deciding factor for new truck buyers here in the Norwalk area, as well as throughout Connecticut and beyond. And why wouldn't it be? In today's world, you can get through a good day's work and still, there are plenty of expenses to go around. So, if you're concerned about the price of your next pickup, but you also have heavy-duty tasks to complete for your personal or commercial driving needs, then the RAM 2500 won't disappoint. This large RAM truck has a starting MSRP of around $32,545 - that's a good deal less large than the $34,400 starting price for a Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD.

Standard and Available Features

From infotainment technology to luxury amenities to safety features, the RAM 2500 comes well-equipped with so much to love. In fact, this RAM model meets or beats the Silverado HD's at its own game with several of its standard features. The RAM 2500 has a larger base engine, the largest-in-class available 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and much more. The RAM 2500 is also the only pickup to offer RamBox Cargo Management to help you organize all your cargo and gear.

Size and Space

Not all large trucks are created equal. The RAM 2500 measures in at 230-259 inches long by 79-80 inches wide W by 76-81 inches tall. The Silverado 2500 HD, meanwhile, measures 224-258 inches long by 80-81 inches wide by 78″ tall. As it's plain to see, the RAM pickup is longer, nearly as wide if not as wide, and nearly as tall if not talker than the Silverado 2500 HD, depending, of course on the cab and bed options you choose - and there are plenty of choices.

Have tough towing or hauling tasks to accomplish? The RAM 2500 is here to help, offering up to a 17,980 pound towing capacity versus the Silverado 2500 HD's similar 18,100 pound capacity. The RAM 2500 HD proves especially helpful if you have lots of hauling to do, as this pickup has a max payload of 3,990 pounds, versus the Silverado 2500 HD's 3,301 pound capacity.

Performance and Power

The RAM 2500 might be cheaper than the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, but it also happens to be more powerful right from the start. In fact, this RAM truck provides 383-horsepower with its standard 5.7-liter V8 HEMI® engine. Several other engines are also available, including a natural gas V8 HEMI®, a more potent 6.4-liter V8 HEMI®, and a 6.7-liter CUMMINS® diesel engine. The Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD simply can't keep up with its standard Vortec™ 6.0-liter V8, which has 360-horsepower, though to be fair, a larger Duramax® 6.6-liter turbo-diesel is also available. Still, if engine options are important to you, the RAM 2500 lineup offers more than the Silverado HD lineup.
